Business Case with Alnor
The company provides comprehensive solutions for industrial and residential installations: metal or plastic ducts, fire dampers and regulators, or heat recovery units and grilles.
Knauf Industries Appliances' engineers had the challenge of finding a compromise between technological limitations and feasibility to produce plastic components for ventilation products with the highest quality and great visual aspect.
Results:
At the end of the project, Alnor was able to supplement the metal solutions which have more design limitations than the EPP molding technology, which gave unprecedented product design possibilities.
- 50% saving in the weight - easier installation
- All EPP products are automatically insulated – which saves time and money
- With the EPP components it’s easy to automate the production process of the ventilation system with help of robots
